How to Size a New Era 59FIFTY (Without Guessing)
Share
A 59FIFTY is a fitted cap. There is no snap, no strap, no give. Get the size wrong and it either sits on top of your head or leaves a mark across your forehead. Here is how to get it right first time.
Measure your head
Take a soft tape measure around your head, about a finger's width above your ears and across the middle of your forehead — where the cap's sweatband will actually sit. Keep it level and snug, not tight. Measure twice. Note the number in inches.
Match the measurement
| Head (inches) | 59FIFTY size |
|---|---|
| 21 1/2 | 6 7/8 |
| 21 7/8 | 7 |
| 22 1/4 | 7 1/8 |
| 22 5/8 | 7 1/4 |
| 23 | 7 3/8 |
| 23 1/2 | 7 1/2 |
| 23 7/8 | 7 5/8 |
| 24 1/4 | 7 3/4 |
| 24 5/8 | 7 7/8 |
| 25 | 8 |
Between sizes? Go up
Wool and poly caps relax a little with wear; they never shrink back to a size smaller. If you land between two, take the larger one.
A note on our stock
Most fitteds on this site are one or two caps per size. If your size is showing, it is physically on our wall in Bossier City. Once it sells, that colourway may not come back.
